Instructions for Online Giving via the Presbyterian Foundation
This information is provided to assist with making online giving to Southminster Presbyterian Church (SPC) located in Oxon Hill, Maryland. Mailing your offering checks to the church is still an option for giving.
Steps for SPC Online Giving
- Click here to be taken to the donation page for Southminster.
- Create profile to allow creation of login username and password. Email address and phone # are required. Note your username and password in your personal records.
- To donate, login in, if not already logged in. Select Add Transaction. Then, choose fund (i.e., General Fund), donation frequency and donation start date and follow remaining website instructions. The Member Summary page shows another giving opportunity, editing financial information, scheduled transactions and transaction history.
- In the note section of the online giving page, one can provide further information, such as requesting that a portion of the funds be applied to the flower fund.
- Check email for verification of donation.
- The Southminster financial team will be notified via email of your giving. So we will know to look for it at the end of the month. We do not have access to your financial information such as checking account information or charge/debit card information.

The fund giving options are General Fund and Building Fund. In the note section of the online giving page, one can provide further information, such as requesting that a portion of the funds be applied to the flower fund.
The Presbyterian Foundation (PF) operates the online giving website using the Vanco Payment Solutions platform. Vanco Payment Solutions is an industry leader in providing churches with secure, simple, and specialized payment and giving solutions. Vanco’s standards meet Payment Card Industry (PCI) data security standards for handling, storage, and transmitting credit card information.
Other online giving options were considered but it was determined that the Presbyterian Foundation option was the best fit for SPC needs and emphasizes the Presbytery backing; instead of SPC individuals serving as a backing official which commercial options require.
Vanco collects the monthly giving and electronically transfers the collected funds to PF at the end of the month. PF applies a 2% fee and electronically transfers the net funds to the SPC checking account.
